| Bio: I started playing guitar in 1961 so I could sing and play the folk songs of the time. The Beach Boys and the Beatles came next. I joined a rock'n'roll band in high school. In the 70's I played in a number of bands and also learned to play bass. I had piano lessons when I was a kid and also in college as a music major. I play both electric and nylon string guitars in Folk, Rock, Blues Country, and other styles. I have started singing some songs recently too. Most of my writing is self-indulgent, expressing myself in the mood of the moment. I have started writing a few things to play in the bands that I'm in but I don't know that I really write anything that would sell by itself. I'm in a band called the Bluegills. I host an open mic every Monday evening at the Fox & Goose in downtown Sacramento. I often play in the blues jams and I'm available for gigs.
