Ok everyone here we go!!!

Our first guest out from Nashville this year will be VP of Creative for Murrah Music Corp, Dan Hodges. His company's website is www.murrahmusic.com. Murrah Music is a Billboard Top 10 Publisher. Check it ALL OUT.
This seminar will be Saturday MARCH 8th from 10:30am until 4pm at Skips Music in our usual meeting room in the back. For you newcomers, Skips Address is:

The event cost will be $60, cash or check. Cash is easier on us, but we will take your check. This event will include lunch like always {sandwich, chips, drink, munchie's, coffee, water etc.} Dan will be playing some demos from his company, take questions, and critique our songs.

Ok now the Pitches:
You are guaranteed 1 for sure but bring 2. Depending how many people show up, we might be able to get 2 in for everyone. Last year there was no problem getting in 2, but Dan and I will make that call before the seminar starts.

Format:
Cd, cassette or you can play it live, but it should just be you and a instrument. Please remember to bring a copy of your lyric sheet for Dan.

On a personal note, I have pitched songs to Dan twice in the last year and a half and have been talking to him for the last two months and I will guarantee you one thing: He is THE NICEST PUBLISHER YOU WILL EVER SIT IN FRONT OF.

I am not going to presell this event but I am asking you all who are going to attend to please email me with a quick Rsvp, Asap so we can get a feel on how much food to buy. Ok, even if you are brand new to this group and have nothing to pitch, COME. This event will put you higher on your learning curve! You will drive home saying to yourself, I didn't know that, that or that. Trust me I did the first time I went to one of these events.

I will send out a reminder with Feb. meeting schedule but I want you all to get a jump on your songs. You have about 7 weeks to tweek, write, or co-write your next great song.
