News - October 2008

Hey Everyone!

Our monthly meeting will be on Sunday Oct 12th from 1 to 4 ish at our regular place Belle Cooledge Community Center. The address is 5699 S. Land Park, Sacramento Ca 95822.

We will be going deep in to melody this month. Bring any song that you think has a great melody and we will go over it. I will be bringing in a few to go in depth with. I will be skipping ripping apart the top 100 songs this month because I want to focus on Melody. We will still as always have our critique session, so bring in your songs.

The Jason Blume Seminar will be based around his Melody teaching so I want to get everyone ready for that. His seminar is at Skips on Saturday Nov 1st.

I would like to thank everyone who came out to the Steve Seskin seminar. I think it was one of the most information seminars I have ever been too.I learned a ton and Steve is a great guy.
I would also like to thank Gabrielle Giusti for get all the food together and helping out. She is now my co-coordinator and will be going to Nashville next April to make it official. She has done a lot for this group in the past and continues to step up to help out at every event. She is a solid singer/songwriter and I think we are very lucky to have her in our group. If you see her thank her because with out her help these events and the monthly meetings would not run so smooth.

So I hope to see you all this Sunday, ready to tackle Melody!!!
