News - November 2008

Hey Everyone!

This months meeting will be this Sunday Nov 9th at our usual place from 1pm to 5pm at Belle Cooledge Community Center. The address is 5699 S. Land Park, Sacramento Ca 95822. Remember it is not the library across the street. This is our last meeting for this year. I know a lot of you will be at the Taxi road rally so I understand if you can't make it.

This Month I want to go over what we did this year and what we will focus on next year. We will have our Top 100 rip session and tear apart some songs that are on the top 100. We will also have our critique session. Once again you can play your song live or bring it in on cd or tape. Please remember to bring about 12 copies of your lyrics or one on a transparent sheet for the overhead. It really amazes me that thing still works!

In the last five weeks we have had two of the top song writing teachers come thru here, Steve Seskin and Jason Blume. I hope you were able to catch one of them. They were both soooo inspiring. I personally think I've learned more about song writing in the last month than the last 4 yrs of my life. I hope they helped all of you too!

We have a few things cooking for next year that I will go over at this months meeting. This is your last chance for song of the month.
