News - December 2008

Hey Everyone!

Well I would like to start off with thanking Brenda for hosting our Ho Ho Ho party. I had a blast, and I think all who showed up did too! Thanks Brenda for all your hard work.

Our Song of the Year 2008 winner is Rod Tompkins, with "Where'd You Bury My Heart". Congrats Rod!!!
We will continue our 2009 contest starting in January so bring in your songs.

I would also like to thank Dave Baldwin for running our NSAI website and Myspace page. He does this all on his own time for free. Thanks Dave we all appreciate you!

As most of you already know Gabrielle Giusti is our new Co- coordinator. She has help me with all of our 2008 events and countless other ways, more that I can list. She will be traveling back to Nashville this spring to get the official stamp from the "Mother Ship". Thank you Gab for stepping into this challenging position.

Last I would like to thank all of you who participated in our monthly meeting, and workshop seminars. Without your efforts this chapter would not continue. I am personally motivated by all of your enthusiasm to try and better your craft.

I know this years hasn't been easy on any of us. We all struggle in our own ways,but I want you all to know if you still have that fire inside of you to keep pushing forward with your music careers, to better your craft at song writing, to connect and co-write with others, I will be here to help out the best I can. Stay Positive and keep chipping away at it!
