News - December 2009

Hey Everyone!

Our Nsai meeting this month will be Sunday December 13th from 1pm to 4pm at the art gallery next to the Coffee Garden. The address of the Coffee Garden is 2904 Franklin Blvd, Sacramento Ca 95818. The gallery is on the corner of the street. You will see a NSAI Meeting Sign on the door.

Well I had a really big surprise for you all but it looks like your Christmas present will be coming in January. January 9th to be exact. I have lined up, with some help from NSAI Nashville, Bob Regean to come out here an do a FREE seminar. Yes you read it right FREE!!!!!!
I am still working out details about this event, so when I have it all put together I will email you all. If by for some reason you Don't know who Bob is you can check him out on his myspace Page, www.myspace.com/bobreganmusic.

Now on to Decembers meeting. There are two things I would like to do this month.

First I would like to take some of the #1's of 2009 an rip them apart, an see why the made it to #1. We will see if they have any common threads, an what made them so great.

Second I would like everyone to bring at least one song in, it can be two, (but we're not gonna sit threw your whole catalog) you wrote this year that you are proud of, an play it for the group. This is NOT a Critique session it is just an End of the year sharing session. You can play it live, bring it on a cd, tape or sing it acapella,whatever you want. You don't need lyric sheets, just play it. If you have any ideas for next year bring them too. Gab and myself are always open to hear your suggestions.

I want to personally thank Dave for running our website an Myspace this year. He does this all on his own time, an dime. Thank You Dave.

Also Gabrielle for becoming our Co-coordinator this year. This coordinating thing is to say the least NOT easy, an Gab helps me out far more than anyone knows, so Thank You Gab

I would also like to thank all of YOU for coming to our meetings an seminars, an participating in this group! I have learned a lot from all of you.
